About this Port

Warnemünde, once a charming small fishermen’s village, kept its old charm down to the present day. Stroll along the Old Stream the former approach to the harbor which nowadays appears as a beautiful promenade with colorful fishing cutters and historic buildings. Enjoy a typical German beer in one of the maritime pubs and have a walk on the 451 meter long jetty which leads you quite far into the Baltic Sea. You should not forget to glance at the unmissable landmarks of Warnemünde: the famous Teapott with its famous architecture and the Old Lighthouse which is still in use - and once climbed up it will offer you an impressive view of the area.

Worth Visiting in the Region

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is very famous for its more than 2.000 castles and manors, over 2.000 lakes and its coastline of about 2.000 kilometers - not to forget its numerous, lovely cities. In this region everybody, whether culture or nature vulture, will find something appropriate for him- or herself.

  • Discover the Hanseatic city Rostock which is the largest town of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Rostock invites you with its numerous shops to an extensive stroll through the beautiful old town. (approx. 15 km)
  • Thanks to the mostly preserved old houses, the Hanseatic town Wismar belongs to the nicest and most impressive cities of the federal state and was even appointed to one of the World Cultural Heritages in 2002. (approx. 73 km)
  • Schwerin, the smallest capital of a federal state in Germany, was the seat of Mecklenburg’s dukes for centuries. The city is situated in the middle of seven lakes – thus water, beautiful buildings and old squares create the setting for its historic city center. Especially Schwerin’s Castle which today hosts the Parliament of the federal state and an impressive Palace Museum is absolutely worth visiting. (approx. 98 km)
